Bill Conley – Chief Executive Officer
Bill is an aviation entrepreneur, leading EPIC in delivering innovative solutions to our partners and customers within business, general, commercial, and government aviation sectors. He has first-hand knowledge of the challenges confronting aviation through his experience as an owner/operator (Part 91). His passion for aviation and his 36 years of experience in capital formation, marketing, and technology bring a unique perspective to addressing today’s aviation industry challenges. Bill’s customer focus and team approach make EPIC the preferred partner for many leading companies in the aviation industry today.
Kevin Cox – President
Kevin has over 28 years of experience in the aviation industry. At Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), he served in a variety of capacities, serving the last seven years as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the entire organization and its 1700 employees. While at DFW, Kevin led the financing and development of its Airport Improvement Program which resulted in the largest one-day airport bond sale in the history of the market and ultimately the construction of the airport’s new international terminal and people-mover system. Subsequently, he joined American Airlines as a Vice President and corporate officer of the company, first overseeing their global governmental relations group and later their global real estate group. In the latter role, Kevin led the restructuring of American Airline’s real estate holdings, resulting in over $1.5 Billion in savings to the company. Kevin joined EPIC Fuels three years ago to serve as its President. Kevin started his career as a litigator for the law firm of Strasburger and Price in Dallas, Texas.
Marla Beckham – Chief Financial Officer
Marla joins EPIC Fuels from Atlantic Aviation, a subsidiary of Macquarie Infrastructure Company, a NYSE listed company, where most recently she was the Senior Vice President of Finance of the $800M provider of general and commercial aviation services. She gained deep aviation experience while serving in a variety of finance roles for more than a decade at Atlantic Aviation. Prior to her tenure at the FBO network, Marla worked in the oil, gas and power industries in various finance positions at TXU Energy and Shell Trading North America Gas & Power. Marla also worked for accounting firm Deloitte & Touché, is a CPA and a graduate of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.
Ryan Mikolasik – Chief Marketing Officer
Ryan brings to EPIC Aviation nearly 30 years of marketing and communications experience in a variety of industries. For the past decade, Ryan held several executive roles with the prestigious global public relations firm, Weber Shandwick. Most recently, he served as their Executive Vice President overseeing many of Weber Shandwick’s top accounts, including American Airlines. During his tenure at American, he was responsible for setting overarching communications strategy while also serving as a strategic adviser to the company’s communications leadership during American’s historic rebranding, restructuring and merging with U.S. Airways. Before joining Weber Shandwick in 2004, Ryan led global vertical communications for software giant Oracle Corporation and has held senior marketing and communications positions at Esurance, VISA International, Harris Corporation and Verizon. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism-public relations from Fresno State University.
Michael G. Mooney – Vice President, Chief Risk Officer
Michael Mooney joined EPIC (previously Valley Oil Company) in 1990, bringing an extensive knowledge of the aviation fuel business. For the prior twelve years, Michael served a management role in aviation-related operations, including, FBOs, airline ground support, into-plane fueling, and a corporate flight department operating a large fleet of aircraft. Michael earned his private pilot’s license in the fall of 1993, utilizing company aircraft to visit customers as part of his various sales management roles. In February 2002, he assumed the role of Vice President of Technical & Operations. This included overseeing management of the refueler department, transportation (common carriers), and a team of Regional Technical Representatives based across the country. In March 2012, Michael was named EPIC’s Chief Risk Officer with direct roles in planning, directing, implementation and coordination of risk and insurance program. This role is paramount to safeguard EPIC, our customers, reputation, and assets as well as the interests of stakeholders.
Dan Gallogly – Vice President of General Aviation and Business Development
Dan has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in both the aviation and petroleum industries. Dan spent several years as the Aviation Manager for Purvis Brothers Inc., a large oil distributor where he initiated and developed a branded wholesale aviation fuels program. In his role as Aviation Manager, Dan marketed the Texaco Brand in the Midwest and Northeast regions of the U.S. Dan joined BP Amoco in early 2001 as the General Aviation Market Manager for the U.S. Northeast and Great Lakes Region. Upon completion of the joint venture between Air BP and Valley Oil LLC, Dan was reassigned as the Northeast Regional Sales Manager for EPIC Aviation. During his tenure at EPIC, Dan has held various management positions in both general and commercial aviation. He was involved in the development of EPIC’s government fuels program and EPIC’s entry into the Canadian GA Market. In April 2007, Dan was promoted to General Manager of GA Sales, East U.S. and Canada. In January 2012, Dan was promoted to Director of GA Sales U.S. and Canada. Dan holds a BA in Government/Economics and earned his MBA in March 2002. He is also a licensed pilot.
Lee Jones – Vice President, Supply and Logistics
With over 40 years in the petroleum industry, Lee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to EPIC in handling, shipping and storage of petroleum products. As Vice President of Supply and Logistics, Lee and his team are focused on building superior supplier relationships and maximizing supplier performance to ensure the best value for customers and provide a competitive advantage for EPIC. Lee started his career in the Alaskan oil fields working in maintenance and oil production operations for Marathon Oil Company. After six years with Marathon, he joined Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, operator of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). During his 21 years with Alyeska, Lee held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and scope, including Senior Vice President, Fairbanks Business Unit, where he was responsible for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of the 800-mile pipeline. In 2001, he obtained his MBA degree from the University of Washington Executive MBA program and subsequently joined EPIC Aviation as Supply Manager in 2002. Lee was promoted in 2012 to his current role where he is responsible for all fuel procurement matters, including reliable supply, process improvement and safe delivery of the aviation fuel. Lee is based in Irving, Texas.
Steve Kephart – Vice President, Governmental Fueling and Logistics
Steve has over 29 years in the fuel supply and logistics business for the U.S. Military, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Colonel in 2014. Steve is a 1986 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. During his 28-year military career, he graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio and National War College, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C., earning Masters degrees at both institutions. He also served with distinction as the Chief, Petroleum and Bulk Water Branch, The Joint Staff/J4, The Pentagon, Washington DC. Steve has vast knowledge of the Defense Logistics Agency Energy (DLA Energy) fuel business and culminated the last few years of his career as the Director of Operations at DLA Energy. Steve joined EPIC in July of 2014 and assists not only EPIC’s effort to grow the government business segment, but also adds value to EPIC FBOs who convert DLA Energy into-plane contracts.
Connie R. Pierpoint – Vice President of Client Services
Connie has over 14 years of service at EPIC Fuels. Connie oversees all sales and programs directed at EPIC’s ever-growing customer/end-user network. As such, she oversees and directs EPIC Card Sales and Programs, EPIC Direct, and our strategic partnership with both UVair and UAS. Connie started her career in Marketing before moving into EPIC Card sales and bulk fuel sales. Her roles included Regional Sales Manager for the South Central, Program Manager of UVair FBO Network, Director of Business Development, Cards Program Manager, and most recently, Director of EPIC Card Sales. Through her various roles and responsibilities, she has significantly improved EPIC’s brand awareness and driven real value to EPIC’s growing customer base. Connie has created or worked on numerous important company initiatives throughout her career, including the UVair FBO Network, UAS International Trip Support, Compass PoS system, and Castrol Aviator product line. Most recently, she has developed and enhanced the overall EPIC Card platform, reorganized and brought in-house the EPIC Card sales team, and established the EPIC Card as the gold standard in the industry.
Dev Sharma – Vice President of General Aviation Sales
Dev has over 29 years of aviation experience. Dev’s prior experience includes Airport and FBO management, refueler production, lease and maintenance, fuel supply procurement and territory management. He worked for AMR Services/American Airlines as a Ramp Service Supervisor servicing commercial aircrafts and for McKenzie Flying Service servicing the GA sector at the Eugene Airport while attending college from 1987 to 1992. He managed an FBO at the Creswell Airport where his job evolved into airport management from 1992 to 1997. Dev joined Valley Oil Company in 1997 as the refueler department manager where he designed, developed and procured aviation refuelers and leased and maintained equipment. He was promoted to Sales Manager for the NW, Rocky Mountains and eventually California and Hawaii. During his sales tenure at EPIC, Dev has assisted with fuel supply procurement, logistics, marketing, business development and business strategies. In May 2015, Dev was promoted to VP of Sales, Western U.S. He is an Instrument-rated pilot with over 1200 hours flying in the Northwest region, ferrying aircrafts and flying skydivers.
Marian Stogsdill – Vice President, Human Resources
Marian oversees all human capital functions across EPIC. Her team handles all aspects of HR including compensation, benefits, talent management, organizational and leadership development, HRIS, payroll and recruiting. With extensive experience in the international manufacturing, retail, and energy sectors, Marian is a mergers and acquisitions veteran who has successfully integrated and created merged cultures and operations for a number of diverse organizations. In addition to her expertise in leading corporate and divisional HR functions, her operational skills in inventory, sales and process improvement drive her passion for business excellence. With undergrad studies at Oregon State University, Marian is also a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Active in her community, she has served as a member of the Community in Health Partnership task force and is a devotee of a local classical fencing team.
